Our Story

Hello, salam, السلام عليكم !

MishMish began with a simple idea: create the kind of children's store I wished existed for my own family.

Our family calls Riyadh home, and one of our daughters was born here. As our girls have grown, I found myself searching for thoughtful gifts, beautiful books and screen-free activities for them and their friends. I wanted products that sparked imagination, encouraged creativity and helped children feel wonder about the amazing world around them. I wanted gifts that felt meaningful rather than disposable. And I wanted a trusted place to discover them without spending hours searching.

Along the way, I have discovered so many wonderful brands, artists, makers and publishers. Some are local, some are from further afield, but all share a sense of thoughtfulness and joy that I wanted to bring together in one place.

And so, MishMish was born.

We’re building a collection of children’s gifts, books, activities and treasures that we genuinely love and would happily choose for our own family. Some celebrate life in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf others simply encourage curiosity, creativity and play. Together, we hope they help create the kinds of childhood memories that stay with us long after the toys are packed away.

We’re at the beginning of our journey and we’d love you to be part of it. If you’ve discovered a wonderful local brand, talented artist, author or small business that you think belongs here, please get in touch. Some of the best recommendations come from other parents.

Giving back is a core part of both my personal ethos and mishmish. It felt important that the joy and success of mishmish should be shared with the community around us. We’ve therefore committed to donating 5% of profits to local Saudi charities supporting children and families. We’re excited to support the Children with Disability Association in 2026.
